We usually like to boast that we’ve discovered a new product for our shopping cart feature, but this product kind of found us. How, you ask? A lovely rep for this product was doing a demo and handing out samples of Rawkin Raw White Chocolate Truffles at our neighborhood Mother’s Market. Needless to say, this was a good day.
When it comes to raw treats- this stuff absolutely NAILS it when it comes to flavor, texture and ingredients. Usually found in the refrigerated section, these morsels of deliciousness are compact and full of organic superfoods that just so happen to be raw and pretty much made with love.
According to the founder, Erin Williams-
“My vision is to help people prevent and combat disease, to live in health and wellness, and to help preserve the earth’s resources by learning about how our food choices affect the environment. In 2007 I launched R.E.A.L. (Raw Energy and Life) FOODS, as part of my goal to bring healthier and real food options to people. I intend to expand the business and develop many more raw vegan products in the coming years. I hand select the finest raw vegan ingredients myself, and love creating and sharing my superfood energy treats!”
Their ingredients are nothing short of impressive, and we where lucky enough to try all their flavors. Although it was definitely a tight race, the favorite was definitely the Raw White Chocolate flavor. It had a deliciously smooth, nutty vanilla flavor to it, which made it stand out from the usual cacao truffles we have sampled in the past.
Below is its list of ingredients-
INGREDIENTS: Raw Cacao Butter*, Coconut Nectar*, Ground Almonds, Cashew Butter*, Vanilla Extract*, Cacao Nibs*, Sunflower Lecithin, Maca*, Tocotrenials*, Mesquite*, Sea Salt*
Overall a delicious and satisfying treat- that’s made of some awesome ingredients and just so happens to be made locally, which is always something we like to support. It seems like they have a great product and an even greater mentality behind it. Check out their website for more info on where to purchase (Can be found at Whole Foods and Mother’s Market locations throughout California). Happy snacking!
