Bronzed Bunny Tanning Salon
My grandmother used to say- “If you can’t tone it- TAN it.” Ok, my grandmother never said that. Although if she knew about The Bronzed Bunny tanning salon she probably would have said it because that is some seriously good advice.
Nothing makes me feel more confident in a bathing suit or a sundress than a nice tan but obviously we can’t always get it the old fashioned way. And everyone has seen or experienced a bad fake tan…or as I call them…tan-tastrophes. When a spray tan gets streaky or blotchy- or god forbid the dead giveaway of being way to orange and looking like an oompa loompa. Not cute.
Cue, The Bronzed Bunny Spa in Costa Mesa. The spray tan formula they use is the best I have experienced and the overall experience is quick, comfortable and luxurious. The tanning solution they use is all organic and paraben free so you can feel good about putting it all over your skin, and the color is rich and natural. Also, it doesn’t stink like most spray tans do (the dead giveaway).
When you first walk in the door, they hand you a glass of champagne which makes you feel welcome and fancy all at once. The tanning is done by a person, not a machine, so they really make sure the coverage is even and perfect. Yes, you stand there stark naked while a pretty young girl sprays you down inches from your body. Yes, its awkward at first, but the girls are sweet and chatty and don’t make you feel weird at all. Oh, the champagne helps too.
The thing that originally attracted me to try The Bronzed Bunny was their fun, irreverent marketing and branding. Their salon is covered with cute, funny quotes and pictures of ultra-hot babes. It makes you want to step in and BE one of the bunnies.
Bronzed Bunny also offer other beauty services such as sugaring, scrubs and wraps, and body facials- including- a VAJACIAL. Yes, a facial for your lady parts. I’ll admit I haven’t tried the vajacial yet but don’t worry, I’ll report back once I do. All their studios have a cute boutique as well and I have found myself buying jewelry or sunglasses every time I visit.
The Bronzed Bunny’s main location is in Costa Mesa but they also have a studio in LA and one that just opened in Dana Point. Go get your buns bronzed!
