Behold – our absolute favorite yoga pose. There are three different variations of the famous Warrior Pose – 1, 2 and 3. Our HDX Warrior Pose version is a take on Warrior 1. In yogaic terms, this pose is meant to symbolize a brave warrior prior to an attack- safe to say this one’s perfectly suited for post-bootcamp. Not only will this pose stretch you out, but strengthen your upper and lower body simultaneously. Engage that core for some abdominal work while you’re at it!
HDX Warrior Pose is a great stretch for your spine, neck, ankles and groin. This is also a great hip opener and this stretch helps alleviate tightness in the core. Practicing this for a few breaths will also work on your balance and ignite your quads. BOOM – thoracic extension and hip flexion combo = perfect combination for assisting you with your front squats.
