Paleo sweets are something we always try to keep on our radar. Although it’s rare that we’ll indulge- we are always getting asked about somewhat healthy versions, as let’s face it, people get cravings all the time. We’d rather have some relatively clean candy on hand instead of junk, so here we introduce Chi Licious Coconut Candy!
I’m sure many of you with children or younger family members can agree- it can be difficult to maintain healthy eating habits when all you have available during those sweet tooth cravings are candy bars.
Even health markets can be ridden with way too many options of pseudo-health treats. Consumers are faced with a plethora of these not-so-healthy options that are marketed as being “gluten-free” “sugar-free” and “low-carb”.
We stumbled across Chi Licious Coconut Candy while in Mother’s Market. There’s no surprise it immediately called to us, taking into account our affinity for coconut. They boast minimal and organic ingredients with Brownie, French Toast and Graham Cracker flavors.
The Brownie was our flavor of choice and it definitely did not disappoint. Below are their lists of ingredients-
Raw Organic Dried Coconut, Organic Unsweetened Coconut Milk, Raw Organic Dehydrated Coconut Sap Nectar, Raw Organic Cacao, Sea Salt.
According to their website-
“Safe for many restricted diets, our healthy organic, vegan snacks are gluten-free, dairy-free and soy-free. All are sweetened only with Coconut Sap Nectar, a low-glycemic sweetener. While some of our snacks are raw, all are made from the finest whole foods and superfoods to maximize their nutrient value. Best of all, they are truly delicious, delivering all the flavor without the danger”
As of now, these products can only be found in Orange County via Mother’s Markets. Try them out and be sure to check out their website for more info
